Research Area — dementia and alzheimer allow drill-down to cities and centres; stroke, neoplasms and coronary are country-level comparisons.
Period — preset windows, or drag the slider handles to build a custom window (computed on the fly; researcher counts show ~ as approximations). Periods overlap, so never compare sums across them.
